Battery dieing while not using phone....

when i sleep, or nap, or am not using the phone for like 3-4 hours and its just sitting their in screen off on the lockmode, the battery still drains... why?

It still polls the network. The cpu is still working, too. How else would you get emails and text messages and other notifications if it didn't do that?
