Downloaded photos not showing?

I'm having a problem with my Mytouch. Every time I download photos from my email on the Mytouch, they don't show up in my "downloaded photos" folder in the gallery until i re-start the phone. Is there a reason for this?

The "media scanner service" does show to be running.

Any thoughts? Is this just a problem with the phone itself?

you could try clearing the cache for the gallery app in settings.

settings>applications>all>find gallery and click clear cache.

I'm not sure that'll help.

Oh, and you're only allowed to bump your thread once every 24 hours. If someone can help I'm sure they will post here.

My initial post was almost 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for the try but that didn't do anything. The pic I just downloaded via my email isn't showing up. It's such a huge pain that I can't get to anything I download unless I look at it via my email.

When you go to gallery, do you not see anything? If you connect the phone to the computer, can you find the file on the phone?

Correct. The picture is not there in the gallery until i re-start the phone.

I'd have to check and see if it's on the card or not when i connect the phone. I would assume it is. The phone just hasn't recognized that it's there, for some reason.
