blurry mms

Hey all, trying to figure out this issue. Took over this phone from the wife, she wanted the s7, and an having a problem sending pics through MMS. Using Google messaging and stock messaging the pics go through blurry. Screenshots and camera images look fine when taken and viewed on this device, or sent through email, hangouts, or fb messenger. It appears that the image is downgraded in resolution but I can't find any settings that would cause it. I receive MMS pics perfectly from other phones, just when I send them is the issue

How big are the photos that you're trying to send? The filesize attachment limit for MMS is 1.2 MB (or less on some carriers), so if the photo is larger than that, it will be compressed--and that may lead to poor resolution. When a recipient receives one of your blurry shots, ask them how big the file is that they receive, and compare it to the original filesize of the photo on your phone.
