HTC One A9 Variant Sytem Version Problem

I just bought an HTC One A9 on ebay.in. It's an unlocked variant of AT&T. Lately I am getting update notification, but when i hit the download button, the update is downloaded but not installedd with message, "variant system version". It's annoying now. I can't get rid of the notification without downloading...And even after that it reappears again.

Welcome to Android Central! In general, a carrier-specific phone needs to be on that carrier's network to get the official system updates. If you're in India, it won't successfully update. The next time you're in the US, you could get a prepaid AT&T SIM and then do the update.
