Is it safe to clear "Download Manager" data?

Hello members,
I have successfully updated my E8 to MM . Now there is space problem in my 16GB E8. I have discovered that "Download Manager" is having 1.09GB of data. Is it safe to clear data of "Download Manager". Hoping quick response from fellow members enjoying HTC One E8 .

Is this the sprint E8 version of mm? You can clear download data if you don't need those files. If you do, just transfer them to the external sdcard if you have one installed before you clear the download data.

Hi @titetanium, thanks for your reply. I have cleared data on my "Download Manager" and believe me, it doesn`t have any affect on performance or anything related to android operating system. Clearing data just deletes extra files which were used once while updating your android system.
PS: I am using HTC One E8 (Indian version)
