I don't understand why people complain so much..

You wanted a great quality build? HTC did just that with a full aluminum body.
You wanted more storage? HTC didnt even include a 16GB model, staright to 32 and 64.
You wanted a bigger battery? HTC did just that.
You hated the current sense? HTC change it up some. Like it or hate it, they listened. You will never get stock.

But it doesn't have wireless/inductive charging!

But there's no expandable memory slot!

But I can't replace the battery!

But it's not stock Android!

lol

If Apple released this phone, it's Gods gift to the mobile industry. If Samsung released it it's the best Android phone to date, a instant winner. HTC releases it? Financial ruin. Craziness.

I like the htc one is a great looking device htc really knows how to make a phone look great. Being a metal phone I'm not mad about missing wireless charging honestly the only thing that disappoints me is the 2300mah battery. I was hoping for 2500mah minimum. I know the stand by time will be great but how long will the battery last with active use. I want a device I can use for a day without needing to recharge. And with the droid RAZR maxx HD being the same thickness I think HTC could have packed in a larger battery

This is a good move by HTC. They always had great devices but brought them to market very disjointed. Making one device for all carriers and supporting it with their own marketing is the way Samsung made the G3 the number one android phone.

I'll make their point:
The HTC One doesn't satisfy every whim of every nerd ever!!!!! It only satisfies the most important needs that market research tells them are prioritized and sought after by most consumers. Darn them all to heck for not being a phone to end all phones.

New list of demands:
The battery should be big enough to last two years. I don't want to have to charge it. Ever. Also, removable or go home.
2 Terabyte or go home. I'm putting the entire internet on this phone, even though I'll never look at any of it. Also, SD slot.
Magical screen with 1000 PPI density that shifts size on demand. Needs to be huge for movies, tiny for baby fingers.
Stock android with all extra sense features. Nuff said.

Come on HTC, what are you waiting for?

This is all completely ridiculous.... there wouldn't be any room for the mountain dew dispenser and pizza maker.
Please try to be a little more realistic. ;)

I'm kidding of course.. I don't want any of that in a phone. I just want to make sure that I can erase data well enough so that when I'm being vetted for next year's congressional campaign they can't tell how many escort services I called last night.

I think it's funny that this is literally the best mobile phone that's ever been released (maybe not for long, but true today) and we're all ing about it's shortcomings. It's TOTALLY cool to have ideas on how to improve the future and it's also cool to not want a particular device but because of whatever reason you want, but this device far from sucks. There is literally nothing better for mass consumers today. The S4 and X and whatever are going to come, sure... but that happens to every phone. HTC has an opportunity here in that, today, they are the best in hardware available. Can they capitalize on it? I wish them luck, but it'll take flawless execution a marketing strategy that we've seen no signs of yet. Here's to hoping that trend is over.

My 2? is that blinkfeed would have been an awesome widget option, instead of making it a constant this is always going to be there type of thing. Like the wifi notification in my notification bar. Useful, but I wish I had the option to disable it. Some people will love it, some will hate it. Will it spell ruin for HTC? We won't know until we see how they market it.

Still waiting for OP to come back and make an actual point. Without that, this thread has nowhere to go but down.

And? we're still waiting.

And to the OP, it's fine to say this phone doesn't meet your every need. It's even acceptable to say it's a bad phone. But to go to an entirely new level and say that the release of the phone is committing "corporate suicide"? Well, that's just plain absurd.

If they had made this phone with 2 sd slots and a battery big enough to jump start my car in emergencies it would have been perfect.

Dam you HTC dam you to hell.

It's people HTC ones are made of people.

I don't care what kind of phone you have, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence.
