Have been reading about SIM cards for the htc one lately and i figured since sprint always does activation OTA and with your ESN that they wouldnt be using the sim card slot..

But are they actually making the move to SIM cards for this phone now?

Doesn't surprise me if they do. Verizon uses them to and they both are CDMA carriers.

I'm not for certain but I think the SIM card is for LTE, not regular 3G service. It makes sense because SIM cards are generally thought of with GSM networks and LTE is a variation of GSM technology.
