Facebook notifications

I got my HTC One today and im not getting notifications for facebook messages (Im not sure about wall posts as I havent received one today)
I checked all the settings and notifications are definitely turned on and im not signed in on any other devices.
Anybody know why this might be happening?

I have the same issue with my iPhone app. I only receive messages notifications if I download the Facebook messenger application. Might just be an issue with the latest Facebook app version.

FB is hanky like that. It's not the phone. I was surprised that I liked the new chat heads. You can see when you've got a message, open, reply etc all without opening the app. The small chat head is pretty unobtrusive.
