loose USB port

I've had my HTC one almost a month now and love it the only problem I have is my USB port is now loose and although it charges fine with 3rd party USB cables it won't charge with my official HTC cable nor will it connect to the computer. I'm not insured and I just wondered if it was covered by warranty

Short answer..... It will continue to get worse. Shorter answer.... Yes it is under warranty and I would take it back right away.

I'm having the same exact issue and it will now only charge reliably with a third party cable.
Also there are multiple small gaps, especially around volume rocker button.
If I send it in to repair the port do you think they will fix the gap fit issues?
Would I be denied warranty coverage if the phone has a scratch from a fall?
