Has anyone ever cleared cache by holding volume and power.

Htc made me do it to try something they claimed it would clear the cache of certain things like wifi codes and bluetooth etc. But I see no difference.

I've never done it through the stock recovery, but I have used customer recoveries to do it. Pretty sure it just clears app data storage, not anything else like passwords.

Never heard of it clearing the cache but I have used power + volume down to take a screenshot. Seems a bit vague to me, which volume button? Which cache?
