Why does my HTC One keep doing this

when I double tap the home button to close recent apps it shows htc sense as a app,and if I swipe it away my phone locks up and I have to do a hard reset to get my phone working again?

I get that in 4.2.2 but not always. Also when I run a custom launcher like Nova Launcher it does the same thing, but it'd show the custom launcher instead of HTC Sense. I wanted to ask about that here but I was honestly too lazy to start a thread, lol, so I am glad you asked and I hope someone has an answer to this, it's pretty annoying.

It's weird it shows the launcher in the recent apps. Not sure what's causing that, but I wouldn't swipe it away. If you close the interface you use to interact with your device, you should expect to have to restart it to reassume usability of the device. Just don't swipe it away.

Some launchers will show here and allow you to swipe them away then refresh themselves. Sense, obviously, does not. So don't swipe it away.
