Anybody Know How to Add an MP3 Notification to the Stock Text Messenger App?

I've added it to the notifications folder(s) as far as I can tell. There seems to be many of them. Anybody know the folder the stock app actually pulls from? Can you use MP3's with the stock Text Messaging App?

After you add it, you have to select it... Mine works well, but you have to add it to ringtones/audio/notifications...

Had to actually create that folder under "ringtones" to get it to work. Thanks!

Its actually really easy and right in front of you. When selecting the basic ringtone in the phone settings, there is a plus sign on the top right that let's you add any song to the notification tone list.

Edit: I stand corrected. It is there for alarm tone and ringtone, but not notification. Surprised they omitted that. Oh well, the way you did it works, was just trying to save you a step.
