Htc one remote?

Quick question? I can control my Samsung TV, Directv cable box and my Yamaha reciver with no issues on my HTC One Phone. It works very nice and is a great feature. Is is possible to also control my Sony Blu Ray player with this remote? I do not see an option to add additional equipment? Can I only control three devices per room? Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can probably download a Sony app but the htc TV app seems to be focused on broadcast TV. It's also likely the Sony app will use the WiFi connection and not the ir port to control the player.
