Hi,
my phone just drained from about 70% to 1% in about 6 or so hours. I wasn't actually doing anything at all for the most part (maybe 10 minutes and that was from 80 to about 70%) and Wi-Fi wasn't on when it drained. I didn't check my phone because I fell asleep but I didn't do anything that would drain it. Android system keep awake took up 9 hours something? And Wakelock detector showed android system x2529 for 9 h 34min. I have just disabled fast boot and rebooted my phone after seeing something about fast boot draining battery... Any help?

Joel

Are you on 4.1, .2 or .3? I ask because some - like myself - are having battery drain issues after updating to 4.3.

I'm having the same problem with Android System taking up huge amounts of battery. I wish I knew how to fix it.

Hey don't know if you guys are having the same issue as I was, But I was getting massive battery drain for like no reason. I basically was getting about 9 hours and I was barely using the phone. I don't know why this helped, but I saw on another forum to try turning off the lte and then turning it back on. So I did....IE I went into the settings and under network I selected GSM/HSPA auto and then let it switch, then switched back to GMSHSPA/LTE auto. Seems to have helped my battery life.

Ok, I don't even see Network under Settings. I'm having mysterious battery drain after having my HTC ONE X for almost 2 years. Won't hold a charge for more than a day and any usage of FB, email or other apps causes it to drain really fast. I've done all of the things that most sites tell you to do to minimize battery usage and was having good luck with that for a long time. But recently, it's been draining quickly.

Please advise how to make this change...

I had the same problem about two weeks ago and mine occurred after launching Netflix from my phone onto chromecast. I tried everything I could think of until finally I did a factory reset. Whatever caused the battery drain (I'm talking full charge to 50% in an hour) was remedied and my battery life is great once again. Hope this helps.

Because your phone is 2 years old and is constantly charged and discharged, I would say your battery is on it's last leg. These rechargeable batteries don't last forever. I would bet it's this and not the OS.

I've used smartphones beyond two years and the batteries were still fine. It's a software and/or OS issue. Mine starting doing it a couple of weeks ago and nothing worked except a factory reset. It's back to normal now.

Hi I have had the same problem a few times and it's been resolved by the old fashioned re-boot....turn it off, then turn it back on again. My battery was draining faster than a bathtub and getting really hot when I charged it, all to just drain away again. Hope this works :) (It did for me)

I also have this problem, my HTC One X gets really hot for no reason (listening music with screen, wifi, G3 etc off) and drains like crazy. With crazy I must say that 50-60% within an hour is normal. My charger isn't even effective enough to fight the battery, even with charger it drains empty.

Reboot your phones. Google play services gets stuck in awake and drains it. A reboot usually solves it.
