Why does my wifi Sign in a Page Blank on my HTC One (M7) Lollipop/5.0?

Wi-Fi Sign in Page Blank on HTC One (M7) Lollipop/5.0

I've noticed around the web this looks like a Lollipop bug, and from what I've seen you can go into a menu from that blank page when attempting to sign in to a public wi-fi network, but in my HTC One I only get the blank page and a sentence in the bottom asking for the username and password with no fields to do so.

Any help please?

Have the same problem on a Moto X 2nd generation. My surmise is the issue attends Lollipop. The workaround is to choose "Use this network as is," then launch your browser and load a new tab. That should bring up the login page for the nearby network. It's unfortunate for a number of reasons. Fast or automatic login to many networks is rendered impossible.
