    Default USB Cord

My HTC One M8 will not charge off of my USB port in my 2013 Accord. HTC support was no help.

    Any Ideas?

Have you tried another USB cord?

Do you know what amperage the port is outputting? It's possible the amperage is just too low for the phone to charge off of it.

Well there you go, if the cord works just fine on your PC and y our wall unit, then the vehicle USB port is not designed to charge. The output is simply to low.

Can you replace the cord in the car? If so, try to use the card that came with the phone

A cheap cord will give you problems, and it will charge slower.

It charged my Iphone 4s just fine. Looks like the output amperage may be too low, but I know I can not be the first one to deal with this.
