    Default Nils Notifications Lock screen

Has anyone managed to install the Nils Notifications Lock screen widget on the HTC One M8?
I can install the app but cannot remove the standard lock screen widget and replace it with the Nils widget. I can only add it on a second lock screen page.

I'm running the floating widgets and just moved them below the standard widget.
You can't remove the HTC lockscreen widget

Thanks for the tip. I install them and they work pretty well. My only concern is the battery life, or better said, the impact on battery life, since that widget doesn't stop the Android notification engine. All notifications are being displayed twice. We get the standard Android notification and additionally a mirrored one through the widget. I wish the widget could completely replace the standard notifications. I guess I am used to having iPhone style notifications. I have been using iPhones for the last 7 years and moved to Android four days ago..
Maybe after a while I won't miss the lock screen notifications. For the moment I will keep the standard notifications only and if I don't get used to it, I will reenable the lock screen widget.

I have used NiLS floating panel on a number of devices, and have it on my M8, and it does not seem to hurt battery that much. I have not really compared with and without it, but I did not see a difference when I started using it. It may drive up the screen time, but the default setting is 10 seconds and if you swipe to dismiss a notification it dims right away. I limit notifications to email, messages and phone calls and messages. I love the app.
    Thanked by:

Thanks. Limiting notifications to specific apps could be handled better. We get a big list showing all apps, and I haven't found a way of disabling everything and then enabling the apps I want. I would have to unclick each app separately.

I think it needs the app to send a notification before it adds it to the list and you can remove it.
I haven't noticed a battery drain from NILs either, but obviously it does use some battery.

Yea, that is a pain. It should work the other way around.
