On my great quest with the m8, I finally found it. LAG. When I was in a low light condition with night mode, the m8 lagged and when I moved the camera, it blurred massively. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have not had any problems shooting in low light. I'm not necessarily surprised however, since that's pretty common in low light situations with smartphone cameras. I'll do some more testing tonight, however.

That sure sounds pretty normal for most smartphone cameras. I think you'll have to keep searching for lag in your M8!

The only time lag bothers me on any device is when I am just using it and I notice.

there are a few out there that instead of enjoying their new devices, take a magnifying glass to them and look for problems.....happens all the time.

Lol that's not lag, every phone in night mode will have a delay. It's from the shutter being open longer and causing a delay. It will also be blurry if you move the phone around because more light is entering the shutter

I have not noticed any lag whatsoever on mine.. I came from the Note 3 and I sometimes had lag on that thing... Hopefully I don't run into any lag on the M8...

That won't resolve what he's talking about. He is referring to shutter delay, which will happen on any camera. The delay is caused by having the shutter being open for whatever time the user specifies. It has nothing to do with runtime

That would probably help a little but you really need to download another CPU core. I'd check the play store.

When the LG G3 is released. Just take the screen off that and install it on your m8

No no the G3 is a 2.5K screen. But they are advertising it as a 2K screen for tax reasons.

I thought they were advertising it as a 2k screen to keep insurance costs low, didn't realize it was for tax purposes

OP doesn't have to search so hard for lag. Just use an S5. Or an S4. Or Note. Or...well, you get the picture.

    Hi..Rishabh here.
I purchased a HTC One M8(unlocked) from the USA through Amazon. For a week the phone ran at supersonic speed. It was a pleasure using it. But suddenly last saturday I encountered a strange glitch and the entire phone suffered a minor but noticeable lag. This lag has now turned into a full scale slow down. My motion sensors have partly gone bust. The double tap ain't working and each and every function now has gone terribly slow. To me it looks a case of a defective device.

    Kindly help
    Thanks
