Default Picasa in the M8 Gallery?

How do you get your Picasa albums to show up in the HTC M8 Gallery app?

Worked on my old HTC One X. But can't figure out how to make it work on the M8.

I don't have an M8, but try going to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and make sure "Google Photos" is checked. This is different from "Google+ Photos," which syncs the Photos app with your G+ photo albums. On my Nexus 5, "Google Photos" needs to be checked in order to sync my G+ photos albums (essentially the same as Picasa) to the stock Gallery app.

Photos isn't one of the things offered for syncing under Google.

Which is fine, because I don't want to sync, I just wanted to view my picasa albums in the gallery (via wifi or lte) like with my prior phones.

I found a app called Picasa Tool. It allows me to view or upload etc. I guess it will work for now. But I used to be able to view my albums in the gallery.

The syncing doesn't actually load the G+ photos onto your device--it just allows you to view them. But if you don't have the Google Photos sync option in the Settings menu, then it sounds like your Gallery app doesn't have that ability anyway.

You can always see your Picasa albums using the Photos app (the one that is integrated with Google+). I think it works very well.

Are you 100% sure of that?
Because I turned off sync on my older htc one x and was still able to view all of my picasa albums on the phone. I turned off the syncing precisely because it did try to download all my picasa albums and filled my phone memory.

By the way I refuse to join Google Plus, and G+ is disabled in apps settings.

Thumbnails sync, but not the full photos.

I take none of you owned htc devices in the past to where you can view photos from online services in the gallery app.

Htc removed that in the m8 unfortunately
