Lock screen apps

Is there anyway to change the apps shown at the bottom of the lock screen?
I use Textra, not the Verizon messaging app, so I would like to switch which app is shown.

whatever apps you put in your dock on your homescreen will show up there, so simply drag them in when on your homescreen.

That's what I thought, however it's still showing the Verizon messenger rather than Textra. I have Textra at the bottom of my home screen.....

have you tried uninstalling Verizon messenger or in the case of most carrier apps when you try to uninstall, it will just disable it? I'm on AT&T so I can't test that theory...

Just tried disabling it... Now it just shows a Android icon in its place lol

I figured it out... I'm using Apex launcher.
I switched back to Blinkfeed, then back to Apex, and now it's all good
