The small house with the bands on top...

It is not wifi, as this is different, and even when I connected at this location (4g signal sucked), this icon remained.

This icon only shows up at work... Not at home.

Any ideas? Verizon is my carrier.

Thanks!
R

Many thanks... I googled, searched the phone manual in pdf format, and could not find this glossary.

Now...what is a network extender? I will do some searching but it was not in the help app.

Thanks,
R

Got it. Also found that hitting #48 will tell you if you are connected to it.

I'll ask in my office building if this is something that the building put in or just one of the tenants.

I don't recall hearing two beeps when making calls today.

Thanks guys,
R

Mine didn't have the "Help" app either. To find the icon list, I went to the "HTC Mobile Guide" app (which took me to an online system) then I clicked on "Phone Basics", then "Status and Notifications", then "Status Bar". The icon list is there. Incidentally, the icon the OP referenced (little glowing house) is not on this list. Maybe there are differences in carriers in play here. Mine is Sprint.

I guess the network extender hardware is a verizon thing... Not sure why AT&T does not give you help, though.

Btw, I confirmed that my phone was using the extender today. I guess it worked fine.
