    Default Texting over wifi

With my old phone - the HTC Evo LTE - I used to be able to text over wifi with the Google voice app. I can no longer do that with this phone. I can go to the Google voice website and send and receive texts over wifi that way, but I don't get notifications that way. Is there some setting that is off in the app? Or did they just decide to disable that feature? Google hangouts doesn't text over wifi either.

I'm not familiar with the GVoice app but there might be a setting to have notifications for the app. Don't see why they would disable that feature.

Hangouts doesn't do SMS over WiFi, that's why you are unable to do it.
