Default Dev edition M8 vs other variants

    Hi,
Why would someone go for the dev edition when you can unlock the bootloader and root the other variants?

The dev edition can be boot loader unlocked without voiding your warranty. Rooting still voids it on either version though

Is that the only difference? Except bloatwares?

Updates my friend......Updates! For me, the single most important thing. The no bloat is nice too. You won't notice it at first, but the bloat will get irritating! I converted my AT&T M8 over to a dev edition. So, either way I won! That's why I will never buy a device that doesn't a dev or unlocked edition.
