This evening my M8 started to ask to complete action using Alarm clock plus or Daydream all the time. YouTube, Android central, Google voice search, everything. I don't have Daydream installed. I uninstalled Alarm clock plus, it seems to have stopped. Any ideas?

Reinstall Alarm Clock Plus if you want it. If it starts happening again, uninstall it and email the developer. (Include the fact that it's on an M8 and what version of Android it's running in the first email, so save some time.)

Looks like the Daydream app was set as a default app for whatever action you were trying to do, which the alarm clock app could also do. Installing a new app can reset pre-existing defaults if it's a new option for an action. I know the M8 has a "daydream" function in the settings, but not sure if that's related to the app in your pop-up.

Try the following.

1.Install both those apps.
2.Go to M8's Settings.
3.Go to Apps.
4.Go to Alarm Clock Plus.
5.Scroll Down.
6.Tap on Clear defaults.
7.Do the same for Daydream.

Daydream is part of Sense go into the display settings and shut it off

Mine did this on my flight out of Florida the other day, but only while in the Kindle app. Very odd. To get it to stop, I went into MENU-DISPLAY and turned off DAYDREAM and then told the pop up to always use DAYDREAM (my other choice was Gentle Alarm). That is a work-around and not a solution, but I have no idea what was causing it. Were you in a moving vehicle at the time? I was wondering if because I was in a plane, it was triggering the car mode or something, and the app did not know what to do with it.

I was at home at the time. It's funny that you mention car mode, because last night at the same time that I was having the problem, my phone went into car mode automatically 5 or 6 times. It hasn't done it since.
