Anyone here using Jaybird Bluebuds X?

I have a curious situation:

I am using Jaybird Bluebuds X bluetooth earbuds that can give up to 8 hours of play time. My current phone is HTC One M8. With this phone, at most I get 4 hours play time before earbuds go dead.

I've tested with my wife's iphone and can get 7 1/2 hours. I've tested with my iMac and get 7 1/2 hours. My HTC One M7 got ~7 hours. You get where I'm going? It looks like the issue is with my phone. (phone has been reset a couple of times and its not the only M8 I've tried with same results).

I'm hoping there's someone else here using Bluebuds that can give their experience.

The issue might be the way in which the M8 handles the Bluetooth connection, and there likely isn't a way to fix that. The website warns that play time and standby time may vary on usage and device: Bluebuds X Bluetooth Headphones Details & Specs | Jaybird

Although the expected range is not listed on their site, I don't see ~7 hours as being outside that threshold. If you were somewhere in the ballpark of 4 or 5 hours, then something is definitely wrong.

Actually, that is his problem. He's only getting 4 hours on his M8. Strange though because the Bluetooth radio is typically the only thing that directly communicates with the headsets. I'm curious if anyone else has any ideas.
