HTC ONE M8 Live video streaming

Hi all.

I am currently using an HTC ONE M8 on Android 5.0
I am trying to view live racing and football streams from an online bookmaker (UK), however the streams generally fail to load.

Does anyone know if there is a setting i can adjust on the phone to improve the streaming quality ?

I have read on the internet that there are a few issues with streaming on this device.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried using a different mobile browser like Chrome or Dolphin?

I can no longer get dolphin, i am in Gibraltar and its not available here. have tried chrome but no luck with that one either.
When i opt to see the stream it opens in a video window over the existing app, so in reality it doesn't use a browser. on my previous phone it worked exactly the same but the streams played correctly, so i know its not the stream that's the problem.
I have read many comments that this phone has issues with streaming live events, so didn't know if there was a simple setting i could change to help with the video
