Stock mail app - archive Gmail messages rather than deleting?

Hi,

Can the stock email application "archive" Gmail messages rather than deleting them? There is the option to move emails, but I want the delete action to archive my email instead.

Yes. Swiping a message in the Gmail app to the left will archive it.

I want to do this in the stock email app, not the gmail app - because I want access few email addresses from the stock app.

I think you have asked the 1 million dollar question. Nobody knows how to do this by deleting mail.
The only solution I use move message to the [GMail/All messages] folder
But this takes much time. I think it is impossible with a one click press with the current app.
