Greetings ,

I recently bought a new HTC One M8 the 2.5 ghz version with Android 4.4.4 .
I was so excited to update to Android 5 and when I hit check for updates I got a pop up message saying that my phone is up to date and there are no updates.
However I dont have the "system updates" option in the settings. I check for updates using the software updates which is in the
Settings > About > Software updates.

Anyone here knows how to update to official android 5 with stock sense ?
Anyone here with a solution/help?

Thanks in advance.
cheers.

You could always download the RUU from the HTC Software website, just choose your specific carrier or version.

Is it looked to a carrier (AT&T, Verizon, .... etc) if yes, then sadly it depends on the carrier regarding when the update is going to be pushed straight to your M8.

Sent from my HTC One M8

.401 is the WWE (International) unlocked version. It's weird that it does not actually show any software updates available. Can you try visiting your dealership or the place you bought it from and have them update it for you? The only other methods I know require unlocking the bootloader and playing around with the phone (which may void the warranty if you care about it).
