Hi! I have a stock one m8 for Verizon right now. I'm thinking about flashongt the stock android / Google play edition software on my phone, my question is, if I do that, will my phone still work on Verizon?

Im going out on a limb here and saying dont do it.
I know for sure you can not mix CDMA and GSM units so im pretty sure you cant convert a CDMA Verizon unit to a GSM GPe unit.
Someone else chime in here and back me up on this.

I *think* there's Verizon-specific GPE ROMs. I remember using a GPE ROM back when I got tired of waiting for a Sense-based Lollipop ROM, but I switched back to ViperONE once it was released for Verizon.

You may not get a native GPE ROM, but there are definitely custom ROMs that are based on GPE and there are some of those that definitely work on Verizon. Check out the list of available M8 ROMs on XDA.

Guess I should have been more specific. Official GPE roms are GSM only.
As dty06 mentions there are plenty of other roms that are for CDMA units that are based off AOSP roms so they come close to GPe units.
