My girlfriend and I have headphones but their microphones are way too sensitive! Can we fix this?

So I have an HTC M8 and I have a pair of JayBird BlueBuds X earbuds, but when I'm using them while talking on the phone they pick up way too much background noise according to my girlfriend. On her end she has the HTC M9 with the stock earbuds that were included with her phone, when she uses them I can hear all the background noise around her.

Is there a way to fix this level of sensitivity so that we can use our headsets without blowing out our ears from all the background noise?

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think there's anything you can do to change the sensitivity or noise-isolation ability of those earphones. You may want to look into a good Bluetooth earpiece with noise-isolation technology.
