Status 7 error
Hi all
I am new to android and stuggling away with trying to put cyanogenmod on my htc one m8. I have downloaded the latest zip file (1/7/15) from the cyanogen website for the m8 phone and put it onto my SD card however when I try to open it on the phone I get a status 7 error.
I don't have anything on the phone at the moment and my recovery is CWM 6.0.51.
I have read about opening the updater script and removing the first line with assert in but I reluctant to do that as I have read that if I don't get it right could brick my device and I am not sure where to remove up to.
Any help would be much appreciated.
