Wife's m8 ringer defaults to vibrate

Hey, hoping someone can help with this. My wife's m8 ringer keeps switching to vibrate despite the ringer being on 'normal' setting and the ringer volume being at half. It temporarily fixes with a reboot, also tried full power off and on, but after a couple calls with the ringer working, it magically and annoyingly goes back to vibrate.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've seen a lot of people advise clearing the cache for other problems, not sure if that would help with this.

Are there any apps installed that create sound profiles? For example, one profile for normal daytime activity that has full sound, another profile for a business meeting that sets everything to vibrate, etc.?

Thanks for the response. I'll try the cache wipe later this evening and hopefully that fixes, if not I suppose good housekeeping anyway

I don't think there's any apps affecting the sound profiles but who knows - if the cache wipe doesn't resolve I might do a full wipe and reload of the whole phone.
