Hello to everyone
Just picked up my new HTC M9.
Not sure if there is a software bug or am I missing something.
On my M8 i had to double tap lockscreen notification to unlock and open the app.
On my new M9 it takes only one tap to do same.
It is quite annoying as I used to double tap.
Also prefer double as never happened to tap by accident.

Anyone else have same?

Thanks everyone

Hi
Thanks for reply
I'm familiar with setting for gesture etc as used my m8 for quite long time.
But there is no settings for notifications tap at all.
M8 always used double tap and when I go to HTC website online manual it does say it should take two taps on M9 as well to open up notification app.

But it takes only one.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you're referring to when the screen is awake but the phone is still locked it only takes one tap of the notification to open the app?

Yes. It's been a while since I had the M8, but I thought it was the same?

It supposed to be double tap. One to highlight and second to open. As on M8.
I still got M8 and its much better on double tap.

From htc website:
"Besides seeing notifications on the lock screen, you can also interact with them.
Tap twice on a notification to go directly to the related app.
To see the entire list of notifications on the lock screen, swipe down on the lock screen. You can tap on a blank area of the screen to return to the lock screen.
Swipe left or right on the notification to remove it.
Press and hold a notification to see more related information.
Tap to prioritize or block notifications from the related app."

I kinda think double tapping in counter intuitive. Double tapping to wake and double tap again on a notification to open seems like too much tapping imo.

Well I rather press lock button and than double tap notification as on M8.
Htc website say it should be double tap on notification. So something is weird here.

That's fair. I guess I'm just used to the way mine has always performed.

Yep, I agree it should be double tap the access notification/apps from lock screen. It was double tap on the M7 & M8 running Lollipop (exactly as you described, first tap to select notification & second tap to access it).

I consider this to be a bug, as it disregards the intent for this feature. And as you have pointed out it even said on the HTC website that it should be double tap.

I look forward to this never being fixed haha.
