Latest version of android on the One Max?

Found one and it's on 4.4.2 on Verizon and says it's up to date. Any reason why it's not updated to Lollipop?

The last update seems to have been on 9/16/15, with the version up to 3.09.605.7: HTC One max (Verizon) - News & download - Support | HTC United States I can't figure out which Android version that is, but it's very unlikely that there have been any further OS upgrades since then. If you have this firmware version, what Android version is on the phone?

Verizon might never have released Lollipop for the phone. Here's the most relevant discussion I could find: https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/1190446#1190446. Although Verizon has generally been better recently about keeping their main phones up to date promptly, they used to be notorious for being very slow about this. On top of that, the One Max was never a big seller, so it's not as cost-effective for HTC and/or Verizon to work on a lot of system updates for these low volume phones. And finally, that phone was released in 10/2013, so it's far beyond the usual 18 month support life.
