HTC Mini 2 problems

Hi guys
I have two problems with a recently bought HTC Mini 2, based in Mauritius shop.

Problem 1:
The callers simply cannot hear me when I speak on the microphone. I have to put on the speaker mode for them to hear me. I just bought the mobile. Is there any fix that I can do myself ,such as a setting? or it the device itself faulty? Also, I can speak when headphones are plugged in. Can anyone please advise?

Problem 2:
I cannot sign on my mail via "Microsoft Hotmail". I had an old HTC Desire X. I deleted the mail account there, but when I try to sign in on my new HTC It says authentication error. When it try other mails such as yahoo etc it works. And also to note, I can sign on Microsoft Hotmail again on my HTC Desire X, despite deleting my Hotmail account on that phone earlier. Can again someone please advise?
