Why do I have to have every new phone that comes down the pike ?

Sold the Amaze on Craigslist today.

Went to T-Mobile and bought the One S.

Its pathetic to have the "no will power" sickness.

i am the same way. i got lucky this time though--- i was able to sell my BB9900 on CL within two hours of posting it for $300 and only paid $260 for my One S (EIP down payment)

Well I guess you did good seeing how Blackberry has one foot in the grave already.

But there was nothing wrong with the Amaze, and now I'm putting the 20+ apps
and the 30+ bookmarks on the One S, all because of "the sickness".

I know how you feel. That's one reason I have 5 lines on my account. I get the new one and my wife gets my previous one. Her's goes to my mom or brother who are on my account and whatever they have is sold to recoup some of the loss. I just passed my white Galaxy S2 to my wife and my brother got her Sensation. So they get to stay a lot more current with phones than if they just had to buy it themselves. And with the way I take care of my phones it's like they are getting a new phone anyways. Except for the rooting and custom roms that may come with it.

Lol sounds like what I do. I have 4 lines that I pay for my moms, sisters, mine and step dads. I used everyone's upgrade up within the last year and a half to get every high end smartphone that has came out lol. I usually Give them my old phones. I've had about 4 phones in 2012 already lol...its a crazy sickness. I have the one s now but as soon as the gs3 comes out I'm all on it.

Yeah, my family accepts that they will get hand me down phones every few months and in return get free phone service. And I get to use all of their upgrades. In the last six months I have had the Sensation, Galaxy S2, Blackberry 9900, unlocked iPhone 4, Amaze, Radar and my One S is in the mail. It is a sickness. Anytime my wife see's me at the computer she always asks condescendingly, "what are you doing, flashing a rom?" She never complains when she's getting a new phone, just every other day. After the issues I had with the Galaxy S2 and my hat for Touch Wiz, I think the GS2 will be my last Samsung for awhile, maybe.

Lol sounds about right lol my mom said I'm sick! Haha..but she won't complain when she gets the one s and I buy the gs3 with her upgrade in June lol...still can't convince my little sister to get a smartphone I've offered her a bunch of different smart phone but she wants to stick with her lime green color 100% recycledphone that t mobile made a while back lmao O.o

The guy I sold my phone to had bought a phone for $400 on Craigslist, used it two months, only to find his service interrupted because the phone was black listed.

Apparently the seller had a value plan, paid the down payment on the phone, but never made the payments on the phone for the balance owed on it.

I had to call T-Mobile, and hand the phone to the buyer so the rep could tell him that my phone was paid for.

I paid the balance owed a couple weeks after I got the Amaze, never even made a payment on it.

As you are upgrading be prepared to prove you own the phone you are going to sell with receipts or otherwise.

You should stop reading these tech blogs and you most likely won't be getting every new phone. When you're not constantly reminded of new gadgets that come out, you will not have the urge to get them. At least that's how i stopped, but I was the same way.

I came from a Motorola Defy.... best phone you can throw underwater... other than that...

You have three phones? Do you use all of the at the same time, three lines? Or do you switch throughout the week?

This is what is so great about Google Voice. Currently I am only using one phone but have had up to 3. With Google Voice it allows you to have one number across all devices. You get up and choose the device you want to use that day and everything goes to all 3 phones so while regardless of which one you are carrying that day, it will ring. So if he is using 3 this may be how he uses them.

Well I am certain now ditching the Amaze and getting the One S was a good move.

I always had poor to no reception at work using the wifi hotspot on the Amaze.

The One S doesnt seem to have this issue.

Also TMO upped my data from 2 to 5gb for free.

I guess it wasnt such a dain bramaged move after all.
