Consistently high latency?
I've noticed consistently high latency on T-Mobile's network. Is 1100 -1500ms normal? If so, why? Sometimes I see some normal ping latency, but 1 out of 10 attempts. The closest server was chosen for each test.

Re: Consistently high latency?
I noticed the same thing through daily use (internet, zedge, etc) it just seems to lag when trying to Ping. not sure the reason, possibly a bug being addressed? who knows. but it could have to do with your area and how many people are on that server at once.... but it does seem way to consistant to be that. anyone else in there area?
Why do I always want a new phone or tablet??? I have issues.

I just moved from Phoenix, and drove across country to Raleigh. Same latency. Are our packets going to China and back?

Re: Consistently high latency?
Yeah, I've noticed the high latency as well...got a couple of better results, but otherwise over 1000ms every time.

After the latest update, latency is still 1000ms or higher.

Re: Consistently high latency?
Hmm, I did a couple of post-update speedtests - with the one Speedtest.net picked as closest (Optimum Online) I still had ~1000ns pings, plus dreadful upload speeds - ~500kbps. But I just tried a different server (T-Mobile) and ping on that was only 81ns, and the upload improved to 1696 kbps, Downloads were between a great 10000 and 15000 kbps no matter the server. Before the update latency was always high, so there does seem to be some improvement.

Re: Consistently high latency?
So I too have noticed a significant improvment in how long it takes to ping. and the funny thing is... i have not updated my phone yet (still waiting) im currently getting readings as follows:
WIFI
11.56 mbps download,
11.96 mbps upload,
71 ms ping,
NETWORK 4G:
6.56 mbps download,
1.53 mbps upload,
86 ms ping.
I ran it twice for each at different times and all results were similar, which is crazy because just two weeks ago i was in the 1000s. so T-mobile must have done something, and it obviously wasnt the updateWhy do I always want a new phone or tablet??? I have issues.
