Problem with Mic / ONE S

Hey there all,

I got a quite a major problem,

When i try to record a video ( with a sound ) my camera screen crashes and stops working. But if i uncheck the feature saying; "record with sound", i can shoot a video without a problem.
Plus, i cannot use zello, voice recorder or any other mic related app aswell.

Sometimes when i restart my phone, everythings go back to normal but eventually i'm getting the same problem

HTC One S z520e | i am going through a dead mic issue. after i switch on the wifi, i end up losing the mic. so, people calling me, i can hear, but they cannot hear me. and restarting has not helped that... of the superficial research i have done in the past day, i found this interesting link, at your own peril: Mic Bug Fix.zip - htc-one-s-sound-upgrade - Mic Bug Fix - Improve Sound Quality for HTC One S - Google Project Hosting maybe it will be of help. but, i suppose you have to root your phone first. mine is new and i had not planned on rooting it... but here goes...
