Why won't my HTC One S turn on?

htc one s wont turn on

i have tried all the combinations-volume up and power button, power button for 2 minutes, all buttons but none of them work. also the led is on which means the phone is charging when i connect it to a power source. help?

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might have just failed. It might still show a battery charging LED, but if the battery can't hold a charge, it won't power on. Since the battery is not user-removable, you'd have to bring it to a repair shop.
