I wonder if anyone can help me. Last week my phone died and each time I turn it on it only goes as far as the Bootloader screen. The phone is "Locked" with S-On. I have tried connecting it to my computer, the device manager sees the phone yet windows explorer doesn't. I have updated the HTC drivers to the most recent.
I downloaded a "HTC Android Phone ROM Update Utility" to attempt to completely reset the phone, yet it gets so far then gives me an "ERROR 170 USB CONNECTION ERROR" and closes.
I have tried to unlock the phone and downloaded a programme that I thought might help but it could not access the phone.
I feel like I am getting out of my depth here, and I wonder if anyone could offer me some help / advice.
