I was just about to return the HTC One V due to the screen flickering rapidly - appears like a screen filter flashing over and over. I have yet to use this phone for a call, as it's not even activated. I just used it for a day of photography before this flickering issue happened.

The flickering was like a high/low intensity flash and it wasn't a repeated pattern - flashing was intermittent, rapid - and more annoying than anything because I can still read the screen enough. Then I did a factory reset, the problem is gone.

However, do I want to repeat this solution in the near future?

Are other users able to experience this same problem?

Sounds like a problem you don't want in any case. A factory reset is a headache.

Are you still within the time window for a retail return and refund or exchange? That's what I'd do.
