Re: Galaxy S3 & One X Camera Shots Comparison
Not much debate on this one. At least with the sample shots taken. The HTC camera provides a sharper image with more detail. I also have a 4S so I can compare directly. In well lit scenes the HTC can take almost identical photo's IF Saturation is reduced in settings. I'm happy with the cams in both phones for outdoor/well lit scenes. Where the 4S has the edge is in low light/indoor shots. The 4S shoots superior video though.

Re: Galaxy S3 & One X Camera Shots Comparison
Were these taken around the same time for each phone? It looks like the GS3 pics were taken on a mostly clear day while the HOX pics were taken on a day that was somewhat overcast. That difference in natural lighting can make a huge difference in how the photos turn out.

Re: Galaxy S3 & One X Camera Shots Comparison
While the HOX doesn't take perfect pictures. I think they are clearly better than the GS3's. It's nice when HTC can make a phone that beats a major competitor's device that wasn't even announced yet.

Re: Galaxy S3 & One X Camera Shots Comparison
Again, not fair to compare a released phone's retail ability to that of an unfinished phone that is probably still getting upgraded/tweaked before release.
We don't know if the Galaxy S3's being used here are older models or not - for all we know some of these could come from demo phones with old firmware/hardware - who knows. - 05-10-2012, 10:31 AM #84

Re: Galaxy S3 & One X Camera Shots Comparison
It's as if the S3's lens was smudged to make images cloudy and the photographer moved the camera slightly while shooting to prevent a sharp image capture.... at least until you get to shots 11 and 12 and it all went away.

GSMarena photos are rubbish, it's biased - the images are different, taken at completely different times.
The HOX has no problem at all taking a good picture.
Here is a picture of winter hill (in the distance) - in Bolton, UK.
I was actually moving down the road whilst I took this pic, so pretty impressive I think!
On auto:

f2.0 28mm with image processing chip
Or the GS3 with:
f2.6 3.7mm with no image processing chip.
Think I know which one I'd prefer
GSMarena are just full of , all comparisons I've seen show the HOX camera to be significantly better than the SGS3.
My picture above, which I took whilst I was moving is much better than GSMarenas immobile photos - so, I call bull.
