Default Is this thing too big??

There's certainly a lucky group of us that have ours a little early and have had some time with them. The last thing I want to do is gripe about this phone because it rocks but I guess I'm about to a little. The question to be asked is, is the phone too big?

I went from a Nexus One to an LG Thrill to the One X, all with progressively larger screens but when you have to literally juggle the One X to tap areas of the screen or use your other hand to position it, doesn't it lose intended functionality/portability?

Also, has anyone yet been annoyed at the power button/volume rocker placements in that it's a pain to turn the device on/off without inadvertently hitting the volume rockers?

And finally, does anyone know if there's a way to modify the icons? They seem somewhat small in comparison to the large real estate of the screen.

Aside from what may be simply my own idiosyncrasies I still have to say best phone ever!!!!!!!!!

I came from the inspire... I liked the volume buttons on the other side cause I hit them at the same time as the power button too.. I love how big this phone is.. go hold a Samsung note...then ull love the size of the one x lol.

After hearing all the this phone is big stories, I found this phone to be small considering they make it seem like the note.

    Big?

I've had the phone exactly a month & it is only a little big bigger than my ex-SGS2,

So no, not too big at all.

i came from having the note for almost thirty days and the one x feels small now but so much more manageable than the note

No. I thought it would be (coming from the Samsung Epic), but I think it's fine. I'm not having any problems using it.

I have an Atrix now and I welcome the One X's bigness. I think the Note is too big for me, but there are those who love it. The One X's screen is probably about as large as I'd like my smartphone to be.

It might be too big if you got the black color and maybe not if you got the white one

I dont think the phone is too big per se, but I do think its difficult to operate one handed. Just turning the phone on is a chore. I have to use my thumb so as soon as I hit the power button, I have to juggle the phone to get down to the swipe to unlock.

For a phone this size, the power button on the side of the device would have made a huge difference. Even better would have been a phyisical home button that wakes the phone up, ala the GS2/3.

If you find the GSII to be okay then this phone is not too big. It's almost the same size as the GSII just a hair wider and a quarter inch longer.

It's no where near Note size.

It's not the size that counts... it's how you use it

Seriously. After having this thing in my hands, I'm adapting to it. I'm making it work. It's too damn good. My hands should feel privileged to hold this phone.
