So i have been playing with the one x since i got it and i have noticed when i come to the multitasking menu i seem to almost always have the maps one open even if i never opened the maps app for any reason. has anyone else noticed this ?
I came from the iphone 4 but i have a lg nitro 4g lte android as my work phone which i barely ever touch ..

I haven't noticed in the app switcher, but I did notice that without ever using maps it still shows up in my battery usage. Yesterday is shows using 10% of my battery without ever having opened the application.

It could be your location settings. There are 4 check boxes in the location settings panel, and I'm not positive, but it looks like if any of the first 3 are checked (maybe all 4), they could call for maps to run in the background.
