Has anyone been able to get Pdanet working on their HOX? Also what is the best tethering app that will use wifi instead of bluetooth or usb. Can this be done without being rooted and AT&T finding out. Newbie to Android any help will be appreciated.

You will need to have root access for it to work. Once rooted load Wifi Tether by Muller, Lemons etc. Then go into settings and select Change Device Profile and select Generic ICS setting. Now you will be able to tether via Wifi.

Remember root can brick your phone so do at your own risk and tethering without paying for it can get you in trouble with your carrier.
