Excitement!! I have a WHITE One X on hold for me at Best Buy! :-)

As we all know the phone is out of stock everywhere - but I have been checking Best Buy stock in my area via their website every day. And today one of the local stores (St Peters MO) showed whites in stock!!! Called them and its true - they got a shipment of 6 into the store. One is on hold with my name on it - gonna pick it up right after work.

I'll be coming from a Skyrocket - I think it will be super easy to move over to the HOX. And now to find a pretty girly case! Love this forum - I've been reading it for days getting ready till I could find a HOX in stock.

Sweetness! Wonder if some just got hung up in the pipeline or if they are coming in from customs now. You'll LOVE it! I see some people posting displeasure with it but I don't see why. It has worked fantastic for me!

I got my third one at Best Buy yesterday. Third because the first two were defective. Out of the 10 best buys near me (Burbank, CA), 3 have had pretty good stock this past week.

The first one had a software glitch where anytime Id scroll through screens in the app drawer, there would be a weird screen flicker over a couple of the apps. That got annoying. The second one had issues with the haptic feedback going in and out (mostly out) when typing messages. The new one seems great though.

Got the phone yesterday - and its super sweet! Asked the manager how he got new stock and he said he talked to a store in Kansas that was not selling theirs and they sent the phones to him to sell. This is one of the mobile Best Buy stores in a mall. First time I have ever set foot in one of those stores but I must say I was treated great and the employees knew what they were talking about and were very into the phones! My salesman had the exact same HOX in white that I was buying. He even took the time to show me some tips and tricks.
I'll write more about my first impressions later but so far I'm a very happy camper. Camera rocks - and that was the main reason I ditched my Skyrocket. Still getting used to the differences but I love the HOX! I will be peeling the silly serial number sticker off the back though - that is going to look terrible with clear cases.

Haha I dont think mine had a sticker on it! I found mine in the box. I will however keep it with my paper work with the phone. So far I love mine! I have only had mine for a day really.

Mine had a serial number sticker on the back of the device (which pealed off cleanly & easily) AND a spare serial number sticker with the paperwork.

Yea mine had a sticker on the back too. Kind of obnoxious but it didn't leave a mark.

They have to. Normally this would be on the inside and accessible buy removing the back, but being one solid unit, there is no way to get to it, so they put them there.

My local Costco had them in stock. Better deal than the AT&T store:
-$189
-pay tax on wholesale price
-activation fee refund
-90 day refund window
-accessory kit with cases, screen protector, car charger

My understanding of this refund is they will only refund it if you completely cancel service with the carrier, can not swap out for a different phone with AT&T.
