Gmail Status Bar Notification
Quick question from a recent convert from years of a jailbroken iPhone:
I use gmail. All works beautifully. However, when I mark an email as unread, the gmail icon in the status bar does not reappear. This isn't a huge deal but having that icon in the status bar helps to remind me there's an email I need to respond to later.
Any help is much appreciated and thanks in advance!

Re: Gmail Status Bar Notification
i've noticed that as well. do you have the gmail icon somewhere on your desktop? if you can download a launcher (i use nova) and it gives the option of attaching a counter to that icon.

Re: Gmail Status Bar Notification
I do not have the app on the springboard. I prefer a minimalist approach and was hoping to avoid placing numerous apps on the springboard by having the icons in the status bar. I guess I could make the number work, though. At least I'd still be notified of an email I need to address, which is the whole point.
Thanks for the suggestion!
