WiFi goes from full to 1 bar to disappearing

As my title states, my WiFi goes from full service, to 1 bar, and then disappears completely. This happens every 5 minutes. Running stock 1.85. Bought the phone off of eBay so no 30 day option.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Turn off Best Wifi performance.
Others report that fixes it somehow.

This sounds like the loose antenna problem. Is this the AT&T version of the phone or the Quad core version?

I actually turned best WiFi performance on and it doesn't do it anymore. I hope this doesn't drain my battery too bad.

Wifi performance is supposed to help in weak reception areas. Some claim it drains battery, but I've never seen any real effect.

Do download Wifi Analyzer and watch the signal strength with it because it gives numerical readouts.
