Default One X Development Phone - what exactly do I have?

Hi, I am here to learn more about my phone. It is not a normal HTC one x - but a development phone. I dont really now what I have, and if I want to keep it as is or go back to "stock".

I bought this from a friend who received it as part of a compensation package for a filming job. I know next to nothing about android development (had to join the forum to ask these basic questions). I really like the phone, but dont know if I'm in over my head. I want the easiest most straight forward user experience. Do I need to reset this to a normal factory ROM? For example, it doesn't seem to update automatically and HTC SSD Test Tool is running in the background.

    Here are the software specs:
    Android version
    4.0.3
    HTC Sense
    4.0
    Software number
    1.26.401.2
    HTC SDK API level
    4.11
    HTC ext.
    HTCExt_403_1_GA_3

    Kernel version
    2.6.39.4-g6b459dc
    root@ABM032 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Mar 19

    Baseband version
    1.1204.90.13

    Build Number
    1.26.401.2 CL47163 test-keys

    Brower version
    WebKit/534.30

So what do I have? Is it worth keeping as is, or should I put it back to normal? If so, how do I do this!?!

    Thanks in advance

it probably just means you have a One X with an unlocked bootloader which means you can flash custom recovery. Other than that its no different from any other One X.

Yeah well your phone is also running outdated firmware. Since your bootloader is unlocked, if you want to go stock, you gotta flash an RUU(resource update utility) Google it. These ruus can be found at xda- developers in the HTC One X android development section only. In case you like the benefits of being unlocked, follow the "how to make your one X ready for custom rom for dummies", thread (again on xda) then you can flash a 2.05 based or 1.29.x based rom. Quick fyi: yours is on 1.26.x and the international one X has been upgraded four times till 1.29.x. The 2.05 firmware is leaked android 4.0.4 sense 4 firmware so you're gonna wanna get that. Kapitch?

Thank me if I helped.... You know I'll do it again Oh, and by the way, Sent from my HTC One X
