I know that the HTC Vivid came with att visual voicemail already installed, but my One X did not. What is the best visual voicemail solution for att?

Search through pages on here from about a month back and there was alot of talk about it. Some people turned to google voice and someone left a link from XDA where you can get the visual voicemail, just make sure you call At&t to have them set it up on your phone. It's what I am currently using.

you can download the AT&T visual voicemail app from the play store.. thats what i did.. works just fine
